Identifying the court room tags

Hi all,

I’m trying to identify the court room tags.

The prosecutor states the exhibits are A through F.

She hands the Con ed guy the slime jar marked F.

Though on the table it seems clear the slime scoop is I and the Giga is H.

Anyone ever dove into this nonsense before?

Never thought about this, but you’ve successfully managed to pull me down this new rabbit hole

You’re right, the Gigameter is definitely “H” and the Slime Scoop is definitely “I”.

And the pink slime jar is definitely “F”:

So:

  • A: ??
  • B: ??
  • C: ??
  • D: ??
  • E: ??
  • F: Slime Sample
  • G: ??
  • H: Gigameter
  • I: Slime Scoop

So that leaves 6 unknown tags.

On the table we can see 3x Packs, 2x Traps, and a PKE. We can definitely see that the PKE and both Traps have their own tags (the Traps seem to be tagged separately). That’s potentially 6 items, matching the number of unknown tags exactly.

It’s possible A-C are the 3x Packs, D-E are the 2x Traps, and G is the PKE but we’d need to find a good closeup to verify this.

This really looks like a “D” but I can’t tell for sure, the camera doesn’t pan up any higher:

And is this a “B” or an “E”?

I couldn’t see any more closeups in this scene on my 4K version so I don’t know if there’s any more angles. The packs still have their tags attached during the Scoleri capture scene so it’s possible we could figure out which is which if we went frame-by-frame. The tag on the trap also still seems to be there as Egon rolls it out along the floor, but I can’t see it in the closeup.

Edit: If we just make some huge assumptions, it could be laid out in a kind of alphabetical order quite easily:

Although the positions do move around a little through the scene, such as when Winston is talking to them:

Edit 2: Looks like Egon’s pack (the first one any picks up) is Exhibit A:

The trap which he rolls out might be Exhibit D:

Haha, welcome! Thanks for joining in this dark hole! Haha.

I, had not taken into account the second trap!!

I have since had the pack as E and trap as D.

However if the pack is B it would be very pleasing!

So we could have

Pack 1 - A

Pack 2 - B

Pack 3 - C

Trap 1 - D

Trap 2 - E

Slime jar - F

PKE - G

Giga - H

Slime scoop - I

This feels good, I think you may have cracked it as it’s logical/methodical too :nicejobyoudid: :crunch: :crunch: :crunch:

Here’s my final guess:

  1. A: Spengler Pack
  2. B: Stantz Pack
  3. C: Venkman Pack
  4. D: Trap 1 (used to capture the Scoleri Bros)
  5. E: Trap 2
  6. F: Slime Jar
  7. G: PKE Meter
  8. H: Gigameter
  9. I: Slime Scoop

Of course there’s potential that this isn’t consistent through the scene. Some of the table props were swapped out for rubber stunt versions for the slime jar explosion, the tags could have changed there. And I don’t recall if the same packs were worn by the same actors through the scene either (according to a quick look on the Reference Library, someone has included a screenshot of Stantz wearing the Venkman pack in at least one shot, and Venkman wearing the Stantz pack).

I’m going with this, I love this plan! Thank you for the help!

Yep, absoloutley right about the interchanging packs, the “proton pack is not a toy” chanel on YouTube does a great series on the packs and their interchanging. I believe the “Do,Ray, Egon” close up was the Stantz or Venkman for all 3. Or point being the same thrower was used for the close ups.

I’ve been replicating the GB2 pack and working on more items. I’ve just completed a full iona.comversion and wanted to add the tag!
