Interesting Comic Note...

Hopped down to K-Ville for Adenturecon this past Friday, and wandered around the comic artist/writers’ table. Happened to strike up a conversation w/ a fella named Keith Champagne, who informed me that he’s the writer of a new GB book slated to be released towards the end of the year.

Now, I know essentially nothing about comics these days, so I honestly don’t know if he was referring to the TokyoPop book or whatnot (not sure who Champagne writes/has written for); buuuuut, it was interesting to hear nonetheless. Said it was a super-fun project, even more fun than he had expected, and that he looks forward to the release.

He has done work for Tokyopop in the past… but glancing at his facebook, he’s worked for most of the comic companies under the sun, it seems.

Still, an interesting discovery, and it should also be interesting to see how it develops, whether it does wind up being the manga or something else…
