When I first got my boxed ghost trap I was ecstatic. Now? Not so much. Earlier I had noticed some ugly cracks in the hollow handle. I thought nothing of it, until today. BAM! :sigh: The handle is dangling by a little piece of plastic. What do I do? I will try to get pics as soon as I figure out how to upload pics from your phone.
UPDATE: the handle fell of. Thinking of replacing it with PVC pipe. But I have two questions. 1, how do I attach the PVC pipe to the trap, and 2, how do I cap off the PVC?
Hey Bonk!
1, how do I attach the PVC pipe to the trap?
Super Glue or CA Model Glue (which amounts to the same thing).
2, how do I cap off the PVC?
Flat piece of Styrene Plastic glued to the ends and then trimmed and sanded smooth to match the edge of the Pipe.
Sounds about right to me.
Or if your up for it u could fill the handle with resen or epoxy and counter sink a screw in to the handle to attach it. But i would go with the first approach.

Superglue guys?
I don’t thing the superglue will hold fine against the trap’s weight. It will if you only mean to display it instead of handling it like in the movie man.
can you post a few pics of the damage area so we can check it out and come up with the best way to fix it?
You could always try liquid nails construction adhesive (that will hold the weight of a brick after being fully cured) or gorilla glue. For the pipe end, I used a snap in body cap cover available in the help section of Auto Zone or Checker/O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Its a kenner trap, not a matty trap.
