Last Night On Earth: The Zombie Game.

Has anybody else here ever played the Flying Frog Productions board game, Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game? The wife and I played it a few months ago with friends who had it. Before that, I had never even heard of it. All it took was one time. After that, I was HOOKED. I instantly put it on my birthday list. My birthday just passed, and I now finally own it.

I love the game! The artwork is awesome, and really helps the cinematic feel of the game. It really feels like you are living out your own zombie movie. There are different heroes to choose, and even several different scenarios, so the game you play isn’t even always the same. You can actually choose to play as heroes or zombies, and then obviously you play against each other. Both sides are a lot of fun to play. I most definitely HIGHLY recommend this game. It even comes with original music you can play in the background. I have heard a lot of people say they prefer to play without the music, but personally the wife and I love it. Again, it just further adds to the overall cinematic feel of the game.

If you’ve never played it, I definitely recommend picking it up. Find more information on the official web site if you are interested:

I own it. I had to have it after playing it with friends, but I’ve still never even take it out of the plastic :frowning:

There are some expansions now too.

Yeah, actually there are a bunch of expansions already by this point. There are several smaller expansions, one large expansion, and apparently another big one being released soon. That is one of the good things about not having discovered the game until it had already been out a long time. Now, a bunch of stuff has already been released for it for me to collect.

That stinks that you haven’t even been able to play it since getting it. I have to admit, as much as we don’t want to, my wife and I wind up doing that a lot of times. We’ll get a new board game that looks really cool, but then we will wind up basically forgetting it exists and never playing it. We’re trying to kind of start our own “game night” just for ourselves that we will do from time to time just as a way to force ourselves to try all the games we have and never play, because a lot of them are tons of fun once we actually do sit down and play.

But, this game is different. All it took was one game and I was obsessed. So, I do NOT want to just play this a couple times and then forget I own it. I want to play this over and over, and then even collect the expansions over time to add even more variety to the game.

I have it it is awesome!! need to get the growing hunger expansion. Have the hero expansion and the grave weapons. it is just nice to add a little variety to the zombie horde. Played just about all the scenario’s, more fun with more people for sure!!!

Definitely! I LOVE this game. My only complaint is that I have not gotten enough time to play it! LOL! I’m actually thinking of starting up a local game night at a nearby gaming store, or joining one that already exists. The problem I have is that the only friends I have near enough to me to play on a regular basis aren’t really all that into zombies, so the game is really more my thing than it is theirs.

Granted, I’ll still have them try it with me, and hopefully they will still like it and want to play more. But, I want to get at least one or two more people I can reliably play it with from time to time. So, that seems like a good way to safely meet people, rather than just inviting complete strangers into my home. LOL! This way, at least I can get to know them first and see if they are somebody I could consider a friend.

I just got the game for my birthday, so I only have the basic game so far. I definitely want to start to add all the expansions when I’ve played it for a while. My personal plan was to play for a while, then add one or some of the smaller expansions. This way, I get new cards, new scenarios, maybe a few new heroes, and that helps make them game like new all over again. Then, after it has been a while, and I’ve been playing the game a lot, I’ll get Growing Hunger. Growing Hunger is definitely the big expansion. It adds new scenarios, cards, new types of zombies, new heroes, some new rules… all sorts of stuff. So, it is definitely the biggie. So, I actually don’t want to make it the very first expansion I get. I want to save it for when it has been a while, so it completely makes the game like new.
