I plan on getting it. It looks sweet. Best part it has lots and lots of ZOMBIES!!
I have it pre-ordered, and my little group of gaming buddies have demo servers already set up. They’re already raving about it.
whos played the demo? I’m totally addicted to it! And we should all grab steam names so we can start a ghostbustin group.
im getting it for 360 my tag is Dead N
i like the idea of a gbfans L4D group
zombie-busters!
For you PC gamers, make sure you get it over Steam. Best way to purchase this game, guaranteed.

Anyone now excited for L4D2?
Anxiously awaiting for it’s arrival.
L4D lost it’s charm after a few hours of gameplay, imo. And I’m a huge zombie fan, so I don’t know what happened. I hear that if you haven’t played it online(which I haven’t), then you haven’t experienced the best part of the game, but the single player got stale for me after awhile.
Ohh god, most definitely! Single Player sucks compared to multiplayer. You have to play with others, be it online of co-op in your own home.
But I can see how it would get old fast. Same four campaigns…over and over and over…I don’t know how I’ve played it this long.
My brothers and I have managed to get months of replay out of it thanks to offline multiplayer, I strongly recommend it to help revive your replay value.
Not to revise an old topic.. but have any of you Left 4 Dead fans seen the professional photography done by that film production company which re-acted key scenes of the Left 4 Dead game with real actors/actress lookalikes? Pretty amazing job!
no, but interested. do you have a link?
This is what spikesnewgb is talking about:
-A photographic novel featuring the Left 4 Dead cast… and a pirate.
RE: Left 4 Dead 2.
I admit I was disappointed at seeing that the original crew aren’t in it. My brother justified it saying that it might seem a bit convoluted to have them go through another five zombie campaigns… but I liked the cast from the first one, I liked playing Louis.
It’s interesting that there may be a crossover point between the two as hinted in a interview… but we’ll have to see… amongst other things if the sequel’s as good as the original or just a cash in.
does this game even compare to Resident Evil?
Very hard to compare the two.
Resident Evil is an action Story Driven game. Intended for single player. The drive behind this game is the continuing yern to know what will happen next in the story and the development of the characters that you interact or play with.
L4d is a first person Shooter that has a very VERY loose story that’s almost completely different depending on which of the 4 campaigns you choose to play. The drive behind the game comes from it’s multiplayer factors that allow you and 4 friends to survive, or die, in a zombie apacolypes.
I was the one talking about it Kingpin lol — but yes thanks for the link.. when I originally saw it, I guess I forgot to bookmark it!.. D’OH! :walterpeck:
Is there a demo in the Xbox live marketplace? I haven’t checked it in awhile, so I don’t really know.
So long since release, I couldn’t say.
The new Crash Course campaign has apparently been released, although it’s pretty pricey on the gamerpoints.
On the PC it’s **FREE**. They even had a sale when it came out. L4D1 was only $15!
Boy I wish this statement was still true. Now it just falls into the gray blob that is Third Person Shooters. Resident Evil 5 sucked so damn much. Shinji Mikami (Director of Resident Evil 0 through 4) refuses to even touch it. Once he left the current team is just rehashing RE4 and ‘remakes’ over and over. They’re getting as bad as SquareEnix and all of Final Fantasy 7 bullshit…
..And it makes me die a little inside. :sigh:
