light covers on shell

what should I use to cover the litghs in cyclotron and power bar?

If you can get hold of some then Blue and Red translucent Acrylic plastic. I used clear acrylic and bought a couple of those coloured transparent plastic document folders from stationary stores, cut it out to the correct size and carefully glued it around the edges of the clear acrylic before gluing it into the relevant part.

colored cd cases are a cheap and a safe way

I have also read people using red and blue cd cases, I personally used the plastic coverings of biker lights. You can also purchase a red type of plastic with black lines that is used to cover cracks in auto lights.

for mine, i used a blue stage lighting gel and for the red i used red plexiglass. i wanted to use reflectors but i cant find any i like. they all have some funky pattern in them… o’well

Ooh, good point on the lighting gels John. That would be nice and unobtrusive for my power cell.
