Local Paper does update on my costume building. Proton pack.

Yep. I dislike hot glue, because if you leave your props in a closed car in summer, they can fall apart from the heat.

I like the motto, “If you can screw it, do it!”, but when it comes to foam, glue is one of the few options you have available.

This is SUPER impressive for, what, $20? I’ve spent over $150 and all I have is a super-heavy, kinda ugly, clunker of a wooden pack.

LOL, I am sure yours great, and thank you for the compliments. I wasn’t sure how well it would work out, but now that I have it painted and have started sticking labels on I am really happy with it. Do you have a link to yopur build? I would love to see it.

Huge update for everyone. I have been working hard on my proton pack and have been building my son a smaller version. He wanted movie accurate (thats my boy!!). I have put a few lights in his and still working on my lights, Just waiting for some switches to cme in the mail.

Enjoy and comments welcome please.

My son’s

Mine

Both side by side aong with some extra items including home made ecto goggles for me and my son.

Foam goggles too? I love these!

I’ll bet you could cobble him up a foam radio easily as well.

If you can figure out a way to attach it to the foam, the c clamps for the ribbon cable are readily available at lowes and home depot in the electrical sections, and are cheap.

What did you use for thrower grips?

Hopefully working on a mini radio this week, As for the grips I got them at Homehardware they cost $5.49 and are basic rubber bicycle grips.

I just cut them in half and used the grip part. They actualy worked out pretty well. As for the C clamps thanks for the advie I am heading to the city this week so maybe be abl to pick some up.

Nice Job

looks similar to mine! excellent job!

whats your total cost? i’m curious. i havnt added lights to my gun yet, but was thinking the LED’s from target liek i used for my pack itself. Think total cost was about 15 bucks for the whole thing.

Just finished my sons smaller trap.

So I found time to tun my sons trap into the opening of his treat bag. Simple but the look on his face when I showed him was priceless. He had so much letting everyone drop his treats into his candy trap.

I also added a bit more to my thrower yesterday.

Clip from bike lights

Sprayed silver and fixed onto thrower not accurate but better then nothing and it only took 2 minutes to do.

Local paper and CBC radio did a story on me last year and in the interviews I they asked me what I had planned next, I told them I would like to work on a GB costumes, well the local paper did an update on me and put it in yesterdays paper just in time for Halloween.

that’s awesome!

Wow!! Amazing. You have some skills.
