Matty Neutrino Wand Problems.

I finally decided to buy the Matty Neutrino Wand from GBFans and Oh dear it isnt working properly at all the barrel doesnt extend properly and when it did it wouldnt retract when activated to do so and on top if that the wand stops working altogether its like the batteries arent strong enough even though they are the correct ones also something weird happens when it shuts off when iv pressed activate the hat lights come on and they beep each time you press the activate button and then it cycles through its sounds which is just weird if anyone knows how to fix it or whats wrong with it please tell me.

While I don’t have the thrower, Matty stuff was always a bit buggy when the batteries were low, so the first thing I’d do is swap out the batteries for fresh ones and see if that helps.

I did put fresh batteries in and works fine for abit and then goes all weird again.

don´t know if this helps but I found that regular batteries get depleted very fast with the matty equipment, I started using alkaline batt and the last a LOT longer.

thanks il give them a go cause im using cheap end batteries im hoping that is all that’s wrong with the wand that it needs better AA batteries.

I got a Matty proton gun for my nephew for Christmas and the barrel extension is wonky just like yours, you have to try all the switches in different order in order to get it to extend, the design of the green tube switch is badly done, it should have been designed so that when you push it forward/up, the barrel extends, and when you pull back, the barrel retracts. it didnt seem like he had been playing with it for very long before it started to happen, so Im not sure if batteries (I put brand new out of the package ones in on Christmas day) are the issue.

I have the matty wand and only thing that goes on with mine is the tip extends and goes back to normal when u flip the main power switch. Other then that it works great and has lots of use so far. Kinda sounds like there’s a short in it somewhere.

Well after putting several batteries in the wand and still going wrong i put some named brand high end batteries in and it finally worked im assuming the wand needs alot of juice and the batteries i put in before just didnt have enough power, the wand does still go abit odd but thankfully not as bad as it did before.

Despite this im still happy with it, all i need now is the matty goggles and trap to complete the collection.
