Just figured I’d post a picture of what I’ve been working on lately.
I am scratch building my new pack out of 1/8" styrene. Currently, most of the pack is built, I just need to do some bondo work on the crank generator and gun mounting box before I put the ribs on there. Then I can glue the whole thing together and get some primer on this bad boy.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, sorry it looks a little messy from my bondo job and liquid nails. I think the most challenging part so far is making freaking circles out of the styrene! Other then that, it is shaping up nicely so far. Hopefully I will have it painted and mounted on the motherboard from Irricanian before I go on vacation in two weeks.
circles do suck trust me I know, i always measured them then cut them just up to the line… and took a powers sander or just sanding paper to them to get them the correct shape and size. Lookin Good !
amen to that. bloody hate cutting circles. takes ages to sand them down as to get as close to a perfect circle as possible.

Yeah, if it ever gets warm enough for me to do bondo outside again, I will post progress pictures. It was great last week, It got to 65 degrees in PA and I did some of it then. Of course that was just nature teasing me. Hopefully soon I shall updating again.

*Edit: Now I have one coat of primer on her. I want to do at least another coat then it’s on to flat black.
The flash shows a little more then you actually see in person. I’m going to put another coat of primer on and see if it makes a difference. If not, I’ll have to sand some spots and do it again, hurray!

I used a red primer because that’s what all the cool kids are doing nowadays.
As a side note, I am going to need a bumper for this bugger. I don’t think I can make it myself and be happy with it. I know Exoray and Irricanian are working on bumpers for sale, but I was just curious to see if they will come here and state how far they are along with those projects, or if someone else could offer me a lead to a bumper.

Got some black on it, installed most of the hardware and got stickers on it. It’s starting to look more like a proton pack! I need to finish the Ion Arm, get some gels for the red and blue lenses, get it on the motherboard and find a bumper from somewhere . . .
looking fantastic!! really great job so far.
oh and if you need a blue power cell lens then just let me know and ill send one to you. purchased some clear blue thick plastic for my pack and only needed a tiny bit so have loads left over 
looks cool! Are you coming to the Steel City Con at the end of April? We are planning on stopping by there. Anthony Daniels (C3PO) will be there with Daisy Duke from the old Dukes of Hazard show. nice job on the pack–do you have an ALICE frame yet??
To answer your first question, I probably won’t be going to the Steel City Con, my pack won’t be done by then. I’m actually still pissed I won’t be able to see Dan Aykroyd in NJ on 4/11 because I will be on a plane around that time.
To answer your second question, I present a picture (and yes, I put reflectors in there, I have them on my other packs and I like them).

Yeah, after doing a little research into this Steel City Con, I feel bad I’m missing out on seeing Orli Shoshan, she’s a babe!
But yeah, with my vacation in the near future, and funds running short, I do not think I could finish my pack by the end of the month, and drive my ass across PA to make the event. Looks fun though.

Sunday. We can’t all get together until Sunday, and even that could change..: )
cool i was definitely gonna go on sunday but i wasn’t wether or not to go in gear. hopefully i will have my new suit ready for the con.
