Ok guys, i’m going to write McFarlane toys soon pitching the idea for them to buy rights and make a COMPLETE toyline of the Ghostbusters main characters. Please help by adding your name to this list. Reply with your name and city/state and i’ll add it to this list. I think this will at least help.

not um to be an ass here or anything…i really wish they would make them but they couldnt get the rights if i remember correctly…they cant buy em if the owners arent willing to sell em
NECA currently have the GB license. Having the license isn’t the problem. It was getting Sony and Bill Murray to sign off and let them make the figures.
Any reason why you want it with McFarlane? Having personally bought some Spawn figs in the past I must say the detail is excellent, but the toys break rather quickly. I think NECA is the best bet here. Their recent releases are pretty damn good. And as my good friend SlackerDaf pointed out, I also highly doubt if this line will ever be realized. It’s kind of an all or nothing proposition that NECA has to go by. A line without Murray would suck. A proton pack and accessories would be cool, but without the characters, it would suck as well. I have some sources in the 1/6 scale community that would love to see this line come to fruition, but they know it won’t be available anytime soon. Best bet is to go with the Terror Dogs released some years ago now. Those were wicked. Or check out the awesome figure by our own Sidney (hawaiiangb): http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sidneythetrekker/album?.dir=b510
Haha, that’s really cool! Maybe we SHOULD just have some independent people sculpt them and just not sell them. We’d at least have the pictures of them and enjoy seeing it? I dunno, I do agree that NECA seemed to be doing a good job but McFarlane’s “busts” are also incredible. I see their lines as figures more than “toys.” That and I think the attitude at McFarlane is a bit more “Go Get 'er Ray,” so it may just be done. I dunno, again, trying it won’t hurt and getting this demand out to different toy companies might push the attitude forward and out a little bit more. I’m just trying to keep the ball rolling. Thanks guys!
You’re probably right. I actually had the pleasure of meeting him in person when I attended ASU. He was doing a screening of his latest project “Spawn: HBO,” that animated series for HBO. He truly is a nice guy. Plus, anyone who bought most of McGuire’s homerun ■■■■■ from the McGuire/Sosa slamfest has a little coin to throw around. I just don’t like the fact that the vinyl figs break so easily. That, and I’d rather have the 1/6 scale version of things. Hopefully one day I’ll get it finished: (my 1/6 scale pack and goggles)
Awesome! I can’t wait to see how that little one comes together! You should finish it and cast that sucker up and sell it. I’m sure every single Ghosthead out there would really love to own a detailed screen accurate pack like that. I’ve seen a few done but yours seems to be heading in the right direction. This is the only one i’ve seen so far:
