Im not to sure what your talking about there? It is recessed about 1/2 in. or so as I am loooking at it in person. Why dremel out that hole? Dont you think a plug such as a piece of dowel, pvc what ever to connect the split loom would be better as opossed to putting a ton of hot glue in there to hold it?

well I must add my idear for it was to use a dowell. I mean if you wanted to try to dremel out the whole a little bit more that would not be impossible either. seeing how the gearbox is filled with almost an inch of resin. the reason I fill the gearbox with the resin is because a number of years ago V71 use to have it a tatorial up on how to cast the shell. and that’s were I got the idea. unfortunately that to tatorial was take’n down a couple years ago.

using a dowel piece or a chunk of pvc to me adds more strength to the loom . I think it is another caution to take from the people that grab your stuff from behind you. Even though its a small area to worry about damage it still happens.

I agree with that people love to pull at the packs. But can you blame them!!!

Interesting, I would have never thought to use a dowel… myI would have just drilled out a hole and put the loom in and secured it from the inside. I guess that gives me something else to think about…

I must also add I got the idea from zombierepellent I think he had a great shell when he was selling. I just want to give credit were credit is deserved.
