Started on some of the details. I’m using my MMM grips because they were smaller anyway. I trimmed them down a bit.

Steel stick again for the ear pieces.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… He is 1 lucky kid. You guys have absolutely nailed each any every aspect of this build.
It’s coming down to the wire!!! You guys will get it done though. This is just blowing my mind guys
Wow!
I can not believe the attention to detail on this little guy! I am truly impressed!
he has to be so excited for this Halloween!
Ok so update, tubes have a coat of primer, added room in pack for light covers cyclotron and power cell
I cut some plastic glasses from the dollar store and flattened them with heat gun
Finished gizmo, used pens for nixy tubes, pulled out some “flickering” led’s from tea lights wired them all in line and attached to the finger LED from before(I may have bought a few) I cut the main board from acrylic, painted it black, printed a template from
http://jairuswhitley.com/download.html
At 75% and glued it on, Jay got a holster( Jay,please add name of holster maker here! Sorry!)
Made all the chips from balsa wood, and used left over components from when I made my gizmo, lol the black phone cord is really plugged into a fax outlet! I salvaged random parts from a old printer a while back that’s where the smaller board is from
With lights on and in holster
Side by side comparison
More updates still to come!
My god!
The mini gizmo is incredable!
You know fellas, if I were to see a young lad dressed to the nines like this, I’d dump all of the candy that I had into that kid’s bag and shut my door the rest of the night.
The gizmo looks fantastic! I didn’t help at all with that one, just only a couple ideas, so seeing it now finished it amazing!
The holster is from Tyger Cheex. He hooked us up in a big way with that one.
I didn’t get as much done last night as I had hoped. The epoxy I picked up was bad, one of the sides was completely solid so I couldn’t do the handles, but I did finish and attach the rear cylinder.
And in trying to figure out how to do a v hook for the thrower to the pack, I wanted something Liam could do on his own, unlike us where he need a PA when we dress up. So Mat hooked me up with a chunk of flat steel in going to attach to the pack and I’ve drilled 8 holes in the gun track to glue in some mag, wait for it, nets! That’s right, magnets!
The glue was drying last night but I should be able to test that today.
So where do you live… Haha
Bottom of the thrower and gun track.
The magnets definitely work. Maybe a little to well. 6 probably would have been good, 8 is pretty strong, we’ll see how easy it is to take off once the plate is attached to the pack.
Attached the front handle.

Rear handle.

I wanted a way to fix the acrylic barrel in place but also a way to remove it so I drilled and tapped a 4-40 through the side of the handle.
I also attached the rear banjo.
I did start working on the bumper, but I’ll take photos tomorrow when I finish it.
Nice work! This is an EPIC build man!
Sweet yet again Jay
Ok dash to the finish!!
Jay finished the thrower( wow detail is fantastic) thrower, pack, parts, are primed and painted, Jay put the pack together, looks sweeeet!!( pictures to come)
I wired up the electronics the Frankenstein RGB led’s in the thrower and a Halloween light decoration that we found ( for the pack) managed to get 4 LED’s into power cell and four into cyclotron , with the one extra led we ran it into the thrower
Ok so tapatalk won’t let me upload pictures
So bear with me
Pack is done! In time for yesterday and is sweet! Will post as soon as I can
Can’t wait to see em!
Yes, tapatalk has changed their photo editing software in their app to nothing at all.
It was a photo finish to be ready for halloween. Here are some more pictures.
Micah made some clippards for the pack and thrower.
I made a crank knob out of a pop bottle lid, dowel, and apoxie sculpt. I couldn’t get the screw any further down, it was hitting the screw holding the dowel.
