I acquired a MMM wand kit in a trade and unfortunately being new to this I have little idea how to put it together. Are there actualy directions listed online anywhere? I wasn’t able to find them on the MMM website. Also, looking at plans on this site, they seem to be more for constructing wands and proton packs from scratch rather from a kit.
… However its hard to find the time. There are numerous build threads out there from those who have built my kit, Study the plans, it’s pretty straight forward as to what goes where.
One thing I have always stated is that it’s a learning experience and I’m more or less helping you to become a better builder by not doing instructions.
Everyone uses different methods and has access to different tools so it’s hard to describe exactly how to go about it as many would do it different than I.
Hahaha… how ironic, usually I’m the one telling people to use the search function on the Dented Helmet since I’ve been an admin there for years. hahahaha..
It was more due to the fact I’m literally brand new to even looking at Ghostbuster props, never mind building them. I mean, I’ve been a fan of the films since I was a kid in the 80s but I didn’t obsess over them like I do Star Wars props.
Anyway, long story short, I was just hoping there was some sort of instruction sheet that perhaps I didn’t get second hand in the trade or some secret handshake I didn’t know about since I’m the new guy on the block. I’ll keep poking around at other people’s builds and I’m sure I’ll be fine.
Check out some of the great WIP threads here for some great tips and alot of great info. It won’t be easy, but if you take your time and follow some of the guides here, you’ll do fine.
facepalm I just said that. I’m an admin on TDH. :sigh:
I “have” used the search and couldn’t find anything like what I was specifically asking for. I was asking if (like an FX armor kit) there was an actual instruction guide… not someone else’s build thread. I was just asking if there was an actual document.
When i first got my MMM gun kit… I left that for the end cuz i didnt know where to start. But the reference photos really came in handy and I eventually got the gun done.
