Opinion time: In general, how much exposed motherboard is too much? My board isn’t quite flush with my shell - there’s a millimeter or two showing beyond the shell. Is it worth grinding the whole thing down and risking taking too much material, or is it okay to have a little board showing?
I would think a lil overhang is ok. My motherboard exceeds my shell just by a little bit and in my opinion it looks good to me. I’d suggest looking at some other builds or reference pictures and see what they look like. Or just go with what looks good to you.
Leave the excess. Looks cool that way.
