anyone have any good ideas on the best way to mount a jupiter kit in the thrower?
Which version do you have?
its the full kit with all the lights. I guess his newest kit.
I haven’t used the newer one yet. For the old one I just hot glued it to the side of my gun body, and it lined up just right. Pictures?
dont really have anything right now will try to post some tomorrow as I have to head out to work now.
this is the Vid of it.
and it can be found on Ebay with some pics of the kit and shows 2 angles the side and the front.
I’d love to hear some ideas on mounting the lights too, since I just ordered a pack/gun combo from JupiterElectronics. Hopefully mounting it into a TC gun when he starts them up again.
i am trying to fit the kit in to a nica a tron thrower. vevry hard because the wires are fitted to the inclosed side of the gun box wall.
but i have fitted mine.
what do you need to know ?
I attached the new jupiter light kit to a small 1/2" wide block of wood with a screw through the hole in the board. Then I hot glued it to the inside wall of the thrower.
Make sure you have the power meter lights facing in the right direction though. I glued mine in and they cycled down/up…right,…dumbass. I had to rip them out and flip them over.
The method is working fine for me so far though.
fitting the lights are done but getting them to stay in place is my issue bobob.
as far as using a block of wood I am using a MMM thrower and there is no room for the wood block.
though it is a good idea for some of the boxes where you have more room this one will be a trick. maybe I will just make a frame out of some scrap plastic and do it that way..
I’ve got the MMM gun body and it fit perfectly with the method I described.
I just removed enough resin from the places reqired to get the lights to fit. Then i pushed the bar graph light into the hole, And held in place with a macnine screw and nut, By drilled threw the wall from the outside threw the hole thats in the board. and a nut on the back to hold in place. the screw i then covered up by the heat sink on that side.
whatever works for you.
Hey dude-- I know it’s kind of late at this point, but a cool thing about the thrower kit is, if you hold down fire while switching it on, the bargraph direction inverts. It will stay that way until the next time you hold down fire while switching it on. Give it a try!
Not on the version I had. He updated the chip later.
Im looking at the Jupiter kit and wondering if they could do the bargraph with the frame around it since I will be using it with Nickatron’s wand kit, and his wand body does not have the frame around the bargraph slot.
hey guys, I also just got a Jupiter kit, where did you guys put the orange light? I plan on putting it in a MMM gun kit and just wondering what you did with it. thanks
I’d imagine one of the red/orange LEDs goes into the hat light on the Gun Ear, with the other going into the light cover in the rear instrument bar.
I believe the red light goes on top, just right of the vent, and the orange is the slo blow light?
Red light is slo blo. Orange is gun ear.
cool thanks
