Hey guys, I know this probably been covered but for the life of me I can’t find it anywhere. I have a TC gun box and I have beenI trying to find the best way to attach the bar graph on the inside. The graph is a custome build to accommodate my barrel extension mech. Any help would be great. I want to be able to remov it if I someday upgrade to a Aluminum gun.
The bar graph is work in progress, but it is very similar to the Jupiter kit. with a ribbon cable going to a board that I hope to mount in the heat sink side of the gun.
fair enough. I’ll post some pics this weekend. a few things:
the board and LEDs are a little rough at the moment, but I should have enough for you to get the idea.
I am less concerned with the board itself and more about the LEDs. I will be using a 16 LED chasing circuit with multiple chasing functions and tiny 2mm flat LED bulbs. The screen will most likely be an acrylic sheet with custom printed sticker to give the appearance of the actual aircraft bar graph used. However I am drawing a blank on how to install the LED and screen in place (and be able to remove if I upgrade.
I have no pics of the extension mech yet as I am still sourcing parts. However, I am going to try a variation on the push pull system that Fago used in his Aluminum thrower. I am hoping to put it together with easy to find parts then post a how to here for anyone who wants to use it.
As long as you keep your bargraph as close to the gun body wall as possible, your pop mech should have clearance… Where will you mount the main board (that runs the bar graph and the rest of your lights)? Under the pack’s shell? Asking because that’s what normally gets in the pop mech’s way if the main board is mounted within the gun body…
