Recently I did a cheap Bluetooth conversion on my Mt-500. It was so simple and much cheaper then a kit or having someone else do it.
I bought a $30 Bluetooth speaker at Radio Shack literally just gutted my radio and dropped in the components of the speaker. Simple easy and cheap. Works like a charm. I can play a playlist of songs and audio clips from the hotel scene and answer phone calls clearly and flawlessly.

Is this just a speaker or a speakerphone? What about the microphone to be able to talk to someone?

In that picture I had not wired the mic. I was in a rush to get it done before the parade. But it is now mounted in the top right in the upper part near the speaker. As soon as I get home tonight I will update this.
Brenden it is very easy. Buying a $100 kit is outrageous. Do it yourself.

This is the back. I have temporarily mounted the volume/call answer buttons to the back until I can really dig in to mount them elsewhere. It also shows the LED indicator to show the setting mode.
This is inside the speaker compartment. The speaker itself fit almost perfectly and with some hot glue stays in place great and does not restrict the sound quality. In the top right you can see the mounting of the microphone.
I have not fully finished this project but eventually I will mount the main board inside the battery compartment to allow power on and charging from the outside without having to remove the battery cover.

The speaker I used is speaker phone enabled so it already has a microphone built in. I did have to extend the wires to get it to reach the spot I wanted to mount it.
