Other parts coming: quick release valves cast in resin, hoses, shoulder straps, gunboxes
I have also got quotes from my laser cutters to do the aluminum mounting plates, pump boxes and mounting straps for the alice frame that I will be having made up shortly.
Also working on a vest prototype and will see about getting them made by a professional seamstress.
I sent you a PM to order some of those parts. Question how did the castings come out for the vents for the tank model ? I remember Nick-a-tron saying he was having trouble molding them because of all the tiny slots. I would like to get a set of them for my build. Seems i started a slime blower craze here! I’m glad to see other people putting parts out too.
The first picture is of the tank pieces. Are they going to be cast in that green color? Everything looks really good though. I’ve been piecing together slimblower stuff and it looks like you have the rest of what I need coming soon.. :nicejobyoudid:
I’ve been working on this for several months, doing research and sourcing parts. The tank greeblies are a pain to mold and I throw out several pieces before I can get a perfect pull, it makes it difficult to see air bubbles with the colored resin but a dusting of talc before molding helps.
They are cast in green but the tank tread will be grey.
As your first post says , your intending to have the pump boxes and mounting brackets cut in aluminum ,whats your time frame for availability on these ..Just trying to plan my summer
They will be going into production this week after I talk with my laser cutter and will be available after May 5th when I return from vacation. I will be putting up an interest list for the 30 units I will be doing this run.
