My first ectomobile

I set out on the journey of creating my first ectomobile. I have very little carpentry skills, prop building skills, etc. So I wanted something simple and lightweight. I can pick up and put this roof rack on by myself even with back problems. I’m open to suggestions on how to improve it. I know it’s not screen accurate and I just wanted to get in the ballpark. Especially considering I needed it lightweight. This is also my first post on the forum. Nice to meet you all!

Not bad at all for a first low-intensity project. The slimmed-down roof rack looks pretty decent on your sporty little Forrester and I like that your caution-striping follows the lines on the car. I’m not even bothered by it being a blue Ecto.

Things I would change would be that lightbar and maybe cut down the arm on that satellite dish, it’s awfully tall compared to the rest of the components on the roof.

Awesome first post, I like the car!

It’s not too much or too crowded. It’s well balanced IMO.

Nice! You will have a lot of fun with that over the next two months!

If I were you I’d keep it to a “just for Halloween” thing and not sink any more money or time (or potential damage to the car) into it. Custom Ectos like this have rapid diminishing returns on appreciation.

Very nice! Looks like you’re ready to bust some heads… In a spiritual sense of course.
