Alright, here’s several pics that GBRob has sent me as he’s been putting together my custom Proton Pack I bought from him on ebay. He does excellent work and if you’re looking for a really great pack and he has the time to do one for you I highly recommend him. His prices are very reasonable and he uses parts from many of the reputable folks right here at GBFans.com including irricanian and exoray! Below are all the pics I have so far and I’ll post more as they come, leading up to the completed pack and a few pics of Rob and I when he delivers it. Yes, he lives close enough to me that he offered to bring it to me personally, so there will be a lot of shots taken on that day! Good times! I can’t wait to meet him.
Pics of the mold before casting:
The shell after it came out of the mold:
A few attachments and the Alice Frame in place:
Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do. I can’t wait until I finally get to strap this bad boy on for the first time. RAWK!!
gbrob is a good guy. The gun parts I got from him were pretty good and Im really happy with how mine has turned out so far. It kind of has a gritty used feel to it and very custom made look. I love the look since proton guns weren’t mass produced but made by Ray/Egon (thats IMO)
Thanks for the help, R2DEVO! I had grabbed the wrong url. I needed to use the direct link. My stoopidz. Alright, here’s to never messing that up again in the future and getting more pics to post soon. Yee-Yah!
New pics should be up tomorrow night-ish. He’s got more together and wants to finish these additions before submitting. We both appreciate your continued interest and promise you won’t be disappointed.
Many apologies for not posting these sooner. Rob sent them the other day and I completely forgot as I’ve been busy with work. Throw in a ‘Reservoir Dogs’ screening party at the New Beverly Cinema and the recovery from that and I’ve been pretty out of it. Here are the latest pics showing a lot of detail work being started and the inclusion of the alice frame.
It has been decided that my brother and I will be writing a script and shooting a movie once my friend Matthew Casey moves to L.A. after graduating from Full Sail with a Masters Degree in business and an extensive knowledge of film making. My character will at some point be dressed in full Ghostbuster gear. Don’t know why yet. Not looking for suggestions. But it WILL happen. Be fore-warned. So, Rob… no pressure, but your pack is gonna’ be in a movie, mate. Rock On!! =)
Here’s a picture of GBRob wearing the pack as it stands so far.
I think it’s lookin’ pretty sweet so far. More pics to come!
By the way, I’m offering $1,000 to anyone willing to part with a screen accurate, fully functional PKE meter!! If you have one and would like to be a cool grand richer let me know before Sat. Oct. 4th! See my post in the Wanted section.
Side Note on previous post: I got a PKE Meter! Javamonkey offered me a bad ■■■■■ of a meter that he scratch built and I snapped it up. Thanks to anyone who submitted an interest.
Here are the latest pics of the pack. It’s almost done and waiting for just a few more odds and ends!
Okay, I totally can’t figure out how to post the video here by itself, but here’s a link to the pack with the lights running. They’re set in temporarily until all the nuts and bolts are tweaked, and they will also be running clockwise in the finished pack.
Here’s a pic of the shock mount recently installed:
The gun lights are going in next. After that we just need to get Exoray’s sound kit delivered and installed (please, please, please), put on a few finishing touches, get her buttoned up and she’s ready to go. Yeah, buddy!!
