Well, the short answer is I used the movie prop plans posted in this site, and modified them based on the RGB Prop models/reference thingies included on the DVDS. It involved a lot of guess-work and improvising, plus a ton of cardboard! But they held up! I’ll be posting some pics of the renovated packs soon. I made a few improvements for Halloween

military surplus sites and used Rit fabric dyes on the non khaki ones
The cheapest for Tru-Spec online I’ve found is Georgia-Outfitters.
What type of suit did you use? Nomex? Tru-Spec? I’m looking to dye a Tru-Spec to a brown. Hoping it’ll work.

id like to ask how you went about the white suit. was it dyed or did you buy it white?
You can’t dye anything white. It would have to be bleached and even then it would be really hard to bring anything to white that wasn’t originally white to begin with.
thats why i was asking because my sis in law is a seamstriss and could easily make me a suit like this for my wife to wear. just didn’t know if this was something that was hand made or bought.
Upon reflection, it looks like there are snaps on Venkman’s uniform.

Of course no offense, they’re still amazing.
actually the name tags appeared on the RGB uniforms at least once…
I’d have to check individual episodes all the way through for a full count, but they do appear there…
