N-filter mesh..

Where can I find some n-filter mesh. Also, what is underneath? Looks like cotton.

I used a fluffy paint roller underneath and some splatter screen for the mesh.

The mesh isn’t accurate but I like the look of the smaller holes.

There was a couple sellers that had accurate stuff for sale.

I picked up a splatter screen at dollar store. and just threw some steel wool, I had lying around, behind it.

Thanks, I’ll have to give it a look!..Also, what is used for the red stripe around it?

I used a piece of strip styrene I had picked up from a hobby shop, but they are also on the decal sheets that valentino made

.

i have used metal mosquito net that i have found in the bricolage center, it’s identical and economic.

I bought a cheap metal strainer at the grocery store (usually just a few bucks):

and I cut the mesh free of the frame, which created a flat piece that I could cut a strip wide and long enough to fit the inside of the filter. It’s tough material, but loose enough that you can bend/cut it easily, and it looks great.

I stuffed steel wool inside of that to keep the shape. Bam.

For the red strip just use some pinstripe.

You can get red stuff cheap at the auto store.

I used the screen from a drywall repair patch. Was really small, cheap, and already had some adhesive on it which made it easy to mock things up.

I just used a piece of regular screen material for mine, and used a pvc tube with a piece of a white t shirt wrapped around it, stuffed it in the N filter tube. Looked great when I was done.

I used one of these as well. And I just stuffed mine with cotton balls.

Awesome, guys! Much appreciation! I went ahead and bought some wall repair screen. Gonna put some cotton balls in it i think.

If you have the means to cut it easily, a white large nap paint roller fits perfectly and looks really good for about $3.

I never thought of that. Thats a great idea and I have several of those at the house.

I’d love to take credit for the idea, but I first saw it in Libtechinit’s build thread :).

IPv6Freely was selling N-Filter mesh earlier this year, and it was perfect. I am not sure where it came from, dude needs to inform us up in here. (up in here)

If IPv6Freely doesn’t chime in, ya’ll gon’ make me loose my mind! (up in here, up in here)

I’ll be selling more very soon. Likely this week.

I also bought some actual industrial filter material for underneath. Stay tuned

What are people doing these days for their N-filter. Just wondering what to do to accommodate the white light placed in the N-Filter for the gbfans light kit. Do people just put in a reflector? If so which one do you use?

When i still had the venting system, i had a super bright 12V LED strobe. No reflector needed.
