N-Filter Screen Material

I went to Lowes to look for some screen material. I found an inexpensive white gutter filter (less than $2), and just peeled the white screen off of the plastic. Enough screen material for an entire gaggle of proton packs.

There was some glue residue on the screen in spots, but it came off by rubbing the screen with my fingers.

I then cut out a small rectangle and placed it inside the N-Filter. Using a tooth pick I slathered on some JB Quick (Weld) around each hole and it was done in just a few minutes.

I haven’t added steel wool or a paint roller behind it because I plan to add internal lighting… Not canon, but I like the idea. Not sure if I want to go with pulsating or rotating lights, but I will post something when I have it completed for anyone to applaud or jeer!

Have smoke come out of it.

I vote pulsing lights to make it stand out from the already rotating cyclotron lights, but thats just my two cents :). Great Idea with the light up N-filter though :), and nice find on the screen.

You know it’s just metal window screen right?

I couldn’t find any window screen material (metal or other) for less than $5. So this was just a cheap alternative I thought was unusual.

I can dig it! I am on a SERIOUS budget, and in need of something to fill the N filter. I’ll probably just put a white piece of paper behind it, but I love this material, and for less than $2.00 this is where I’m livin’! Thanks for sharing!
