Hey gang. I’m getting married in April at ACen 2012. The con is hosting our ceremony. It’s going to be an Assassin’s Creed / Medieval themed wedding. At any rate… money is becoming tight and things are adding up quickly. It has come down to me deciding if I should sell my proton pack or not. With halloween around the corner I know I could make some decent money of it.
I guess what I need some advice / help with is if I should sell it or not? Secondly, If I do decide to sell it how much is reasonable for it. I will post pics soon but here are some of the specs.

Pack has lights as well, custom made but work just like the movie
No sound but could be added
I know it’s hard to even guess without pics.. I would appreciate any advice suggestions or even what a reasonable offer would be on it. I will get pics up later this afternoon.
Actually, My Daughter’s name is Realm. I’d appreciate if you left her, or any comments about children or people not about this topic out of it. I’m not sure what people in Ohio have done to you and why you have a hard on for giving us all shit.. I’m sorry for whatever has happened to you here. Not all of us had a hand in whatever it was that pissed you off or made you think so little.
I’m sorry that my wanting some advice from this community is pathetic to you. I’m sorry I’m using this forum for what it was meant for. Feel free to continue bashing me if it makes you feel better. I’ll continue to seek help and advice from other human beings who may understand my situation and may be able to help me understand a good solution so I don’t regret it down the road.
Now, If you have some actual advice I’ll be willing to hear it. If you’re not done trying to make me feel bad or whatever your goal is, then by all means please continue.

this thread exploded in a direction far from how i originally predicted (more like rocketed to the sun), so, i’ll steer it back to your question, which is where i was expecting it to detonate from:
none of that has value here on the secondary market unless it’s halloween and you get someone that just posted their first post in the wanted section for a complete pack for halloween.
most people here any other time want a good quality shell, and will aim towards the bigi, the alkaline, or the zombierepellent far before they’ll buy a vac shell.
mmm’s stuff is notoriously shoeboxed when someone sees a throwingchicken or a nickatron gun kit, consider throwingchicken’s coming out with a new gun kit that will be the best you can possibly get, why go for anything less(no offense to nickatron)?
pack lights are custom lights, with no video, and no idea who made them, it’s not any sort of help, for anyone. and you cant promise sound being added if no one knows the kind of light kit they may be working with.
you have to remember there are alot of complete idiots to electronics just joining and wanting a proton pack by halloween. promising them they can add sound by getting a more inclined friend of theirs to do it, only to find out it wont work out is wrong especially if they cant see what it looks like.
dont expect a whole lot for it here, unless it’s from someone that doesnt know any better that just joined up and absolutely has no care in the world for what their pack’s part history is and they have to have it three days ago or you sell it on ebay. your best bet is to sell it at cost for all your parts on ebay, and hope someone bites.
your chances are much better on ebay. there are two sellers here that can agree with that.
It’s not so much the theme. The Convention is hosting the Ceremony and the theme. It’s the reception, Hotel, Flights to Chicago, and the various small things like invites etc…
I’m sure we could pull it off in time.. but since Halloween is coming I figured it would be the prime time to sell the pack and get a little boost because of people wanting it done before Halloween.
Though everyone is right. I may not sell it.. Guess I just have been overwhelmed in the last 2 weeks with dates and deadlines.
I don’t think I have ever seen Boomerjinks dress up like a Ghostbuster and drive around in his car. Its just not something he does. Not even on Halloween.
