Ok obviouslly this movie probably isn’t going to happen but we all love the “what if” questions. We already know Dan had some ideas for some awesome new gear for the recruits. I was wondering what you guys think they would have? Do you think they will upgrade the proton packs yet again? Surely they would. What else do you think the guys will have at their disposal? New Ecto? New Trap or containment unit? Just wondering.
I honestly couldn’t begin to fathom the possible new gear or improvements to the existing what has got me wondering is would they jus revamp the original ecto again or wat would they use for a new improved version kinda like how they did with batmobile in the dark night saga

I was definately wondering about the Ecto as well. Thats actually the main thing I hope they don’t ruin if this movie does happen. Besides the proton pack of course.
Yea me 2 the ecto is just as iconic as the batmobile is id hate to see it get turned into something its not and as the proton packs go I don’t if I can put it in words

What would the Ecto look like? Thats easy. Reach back for a 20ish year old cadillac hearse. I’d prefer the 80s body style that still had fins.
I think that if GB3 were made (probably not) there are some things are likely to happen, none of which I like:

No proton packs as we know them, or
-
There are proton packs but they are redesigned and streamlined, or
-
They decide to go with the classic packs, but the prop designers go with their best approximation instead of painstakingly replicating the originals, and using modern part “equivalents”
I do agree with ya kev about those points on the proton pack but I kinda had it in my mind (if it ever gets made) that they totally strip down streamline and redesign the whole entire thing into some awful gaudy lookin contraption and as far as the ecto goes as I have had time to dwell on it idk if they’d go with a caddy with the whole hybrid craz goin on id think they’d go green with some sorta japanese hybrid that runs of the ghosts energy bein stored in the containment unit

They said they needed young actors. 4 of em again and they needed a young girl and 3 guys. I figured it could be a sequel to the Extreme Ghostbusters.
My personal opinion, keep the extreme GB animated. Add more to the story line of the original live action movies.
Yes it’s been almost 30 years since Ghostbusters debuted on the screen, yes the original actors are older and fatter… To me that’s where the comedy would be, 4 retired, blue collar paranormal investigators… Getting together one last time to stop the end of the world.

I actually think the idea of them coming out of retirement to save the world is a great idea. It still will be fun to see this film provided they manage to put together that perfect script than Dan has been talking about.

Well if he did or he didn’t, I could care less. I just want to see him go public and say that they’re going to do “3”.
What I should have said was, Murray is the main reason were not going to get a third.
“Sure, the blackout was a big problem for everybody. I was trapped in an elevator for two hours and I had to make the whole time. But I don’t blame them. Because one time, I turned into a dog and they helped me. Thank you.”
If they do end up doing it I could see them having a newer car for the new kids then the old caddie for the original cast kinda like a geezermobile.
I can definetly see the packs being redesigned, especially with the scientific advancements. The Packs and throwers would probably become lighter and more powerful (lighter especially cause carrying around 100 pounds of Nucular Accelerator would have negative effects on someone’s back after twenty Plus years).
I would like to see everything very streamlined and very Apple-ish. Maybe even getting to the point where its hand-held, and would be like the wands from the GB1 storyboards. Then have something happen that ruins all of the new equipment, and the classic stuff gets brought out of retirement.
