Hello all,
I am new to the site and eager to become a Ghosthead! I have always loved Ghostbusters and as a kid I think I had almost every toy that ever came out. Now that I have "grown up" I am looking to make better toys. I am somewhat new to the art prop building; however, I was a sculpture major for the first two years of college and I am very familiar with different art techniques which I am hoping to apply to future projects. I am already underway on my proton pack. I draw, sculpt, play video games, and currently am studying film. Hopefully I will be a good addition to this community.

Welcome! Are you going to build some gear?
I am definately going to build some gear. My proton pack is underway and I already have the flight suit from last halloween. 100% accurate. A buddy and I made 60% accurate 48hr rushed packs for a party a year ago as well. This time we are going to put some serious effort into them and make them 100% accurate.
well, enjoy yourself and try your best. Remember, unless it was physically in the movie, there is no suck thing as a 100% accurate pack, because even with all the plethora of knowledge on this site, there is probably a screw or something that you can’t see in the glass case.
Indeed, appreciate the enthusiasm and welcome. Any suggestions on materials for the pack. I was considering a foam carved master mold then doing a fiber glass cast. Not sure how I’m going to do the bumber yet.
bumper is one of the hardest parts. I think they are selling a resin one in the For Sale section, but some folks have made it from wood, styrene plastic, or foamcore.
