My son is a huge ghostbusters fan. He really wants a proton pack, but I do not have the money to buy one of those $2500 ones on ebay. So, I have decided to embark on the journey. I have decided to go with Norm’s plans on this website, because they seem the most straight forward to me. I was wondering if you guys could lend any advice to me…
Also, I would like to add lights and sounds to it, but I have no experience with wiring or anything of the sort. Any advice on where to buy completed, or easy to assemble parts? Any tutorials available?

You’ll still need to find a sound board to wire that into though. The GBfans shop offers one but at this time it’s not on stock. The best advice I can give from my limited experience building mine is read, research and take your time!
My first pack was a mix of Norm’s and Stefan’s plans, I had a lot of fun building it so you’re on the right track.
I would say spend a day just reading other people’s builds and doing some research to figure out how accurate
you want to be.
If you really want a full lights and sound the only one I have used so far is Crix’s full kit (Look for Heavy Props in the For Sale section)
It’s more expensive but it’s a really nice kit.
I am in the preliminary stages of planning a build, but I would think it’d be great to familiarize yourself with the Blacklisted Sellers List to know who to avoid buying from. People on that list are liars, cheaters, thieves and all around bad business people.

I think my first pack was in the $300-$400 range, But I made my own lights and used a Replica Props for sound.
