Newbie in Dallas

Hi All,

I’ve been registered for a while, but have mainly been reading…and reading…and reading.

I had absolutely no idea the level of detail and knowledge there is about this one prop!

My head is still spinning, but I hope to complete my costume sometime this year. I’m no stranger to scratchbuilding, but I am still not sure what route I will go. Even with a pack shell there is a lot of work to put into one of these things.

About me, I’ve been on RPF for while, into everything Star Wars. some of my projects I’ve put on instructables.

and I’m also an R2 builder. Here’s some of the Dallas locals getting together

I’m gonna be honest…there’s now way I can come close to the builds you guys and the OK guys have…totally incredible. Seriously top notch.

I gotta get this R2 done and out the way…that should only take 4-5 more years :lol:

Welcome! I met some R2 builders last year at comicon. My son LOVES R2, but I’m lucky to cobble together a proton pack.
