Now there's a first - Gameplanet Review

“It is just not as good as a Ghostbusters fan would hope for.”

Translation: It’s not as good as I’d hoped for, but I’ll speak for all fans.

My personal feelings aside, still not a bad idea to get a look at some of the not so positive reviews for some balance. Want to be a little fair after all.

Thanks for the post, but I’m not gonna read it until I’ve played the game…I don’t want it to influence my opinion.

This is probably the most negative review of the game so far but it still managed to get a 7/10? That’s pretty damn good for a not-so-positive review.

He referred to Tobin’s Spirit Guide as the Token Guide.

I read the first few lines of the review and he refers to himself as a big ghostbusters fan…but he can’t get “Tobin’s Spirit Guide” right? … hmmm.

He also seems to be re-wording some of the criticisms leveled by other reviewers and regurgitating them.

I noticed that too. A lot of the criticisms written were nearly word-for-word repetitions of things being said by other sites. It could only be coincidental that he chose to express his opinions with nearly the same words as other sites… & my skeptical side is getting the better of me. It’s not important enough for me to care… It’s great if a site gives a good rating, but in all honesty… I don’t care much for what other people think. I tend to go on my own opinion and taste because there are few who share it with me. I have read reviews for games that people have disliked a great deal but I have enjoyed a great deal. What’s entertainment for one may not be for another… So I take these reviews with a grain of salt, and if anything… the good reviews are great for building up attention for this game. If the attention continues to be good and a lot of people jump in and get this game that just increases the chances of us getting another one in the future.

We shall see.
