My wife wants to go to a fancy dress next year as a GB. As this is a one off,

I didn’t want to spend too much cash on a proton pack so I’m using Steffan’s drawings to make 3D printable proton pack parts.

I’m also making all the files available on Thingiverse.

This is WIP so I’ll be adding new ones as I go along. Please feel free to download and print yourself.

Gearbox Spinner. This has been treated with acetone vapour to smooth it out a bit:

If you don’t mind sharing, how much in materials did it cost to make the powercell? My apologies as I am completely ignorant to the world of 3D printing, but am overly interested in the capabilities.

@Ghostead. Price including plastic and electricity less than $5. May I suggest that anyone wanting to see/use 3D printers to look up their local Hackerspace.http://www.hackerspaces.org.

These are community workshops giving access to anybody, and they usually have one or two 3D printers available. Plus

members to instruct you in their use.

PH25 updated with filled fins to more closely match the original.

Component cost in plastic = 17c + about 1c in electricity.

What software are you using to open the .stl files?

I use NetFabb to sort out STl files, free with registration:

would you ever produce parts to sell ? sometime I want to build a new one…

@Ghosthead. I need to get the design 100% before I even consider selling this gear. Like I said before, you could get it yourself at cost price by visiting your local hackerspace, use their printer, and just pay for the plastic.

But yes, in the future, I would consider requests.
