Im just uneasy about this quote on the auction “See photo # 4 the “V” shaped plate is it’s Guide to ensure ,traveling in a streight line !!!”, obviously it is someone shoe doesn’t know its the hook to put it on the belt, and if they don’t know that, can they guarantee its from the movie, plus theres no authenticated paperwork which always scares me with props, especially in that price range.
Well it has two bids at over $1500. So someone THINKS it’s real. He’s in LA (Gardena CA) so it’s possible he got it from working in the industry or knowing someone who worked on the film. It’s crazy what some people have in their homes. A buddy of mine got three full Planet of the Apes gorilla costumes and some V jumpsuits from a old guy that just wanted to clean out his garage. Someone should ask him for more history on how he got it.
If that’s fake, it’s the best fake I’ve seen.
Very true, it looks right. Its just that 1500 is a lot to gamble on, but then again if it is real its totally worth it.
Its got that aged look. Like it was actually used to catch ghosts.

The owner is definitely clueless, his poor language skills don’t really give bidders confidence and it’s most definitely not the rolling trap from the courtroom scene in GB2. That said it’s got all the correct hallmarks for a GB2 stunt trap including the burn spots from the smoke strips and the odd little semi-circle on the upper right side.
I’m gonna have to think some on this one, the price is still at a reasonable point.
Really for its age and the way these things got beat up, its really not in that bad of condition either. Wish I had 2000 to blow, as the bidding will probably get up there, if its real, it would be nice to see it go to a good ghost head’s home
