[*]I’ve had a battery from my makita 12v max set operating all the lights and sounds constantly for the last 6 hours…that battery will fit perfectly in the booster tube. Easily replaceable/rechargeable power coming up
ok, this is the first pack i built, around six, or seven years ago…Mdf, resin, three different electronics kits. the cyclotron/power lights takes a 9 volt battery, the sound system takes 3 AA batteries, and the gun lights take another 9 volt. i am going to be building a new pack this winter, so i thought i would convert my old pack to take one battery, for practice. i didnt want to use the blue brick, and my brother had given me a Makita 12 volt Max drill for Xmas. i thought the battery from one might fit in the booster tube, and it does, perfectly! I bought a cheap Makita flashlight to use as a receptacle. so i’ve mounted the gutted flashlight in the booster, and ran the power from that to two adjustable voltage regulators, then wired these to the wand, the sound, and the pack lights. I’ve also put a voltage display on the back of the motherboard, so i know how much juice i have…its not canon, but it looks cool. I also know the booster plug is too long, but i’ll be adjusting those later. here are some pics.
Brilliant!
Nice way to keep track of the voltage.
