pack weathering

That is the weather effect on my pack, i painted all the part with silver, then black, sanded all the edge and when my pack will be done ill put some fuller’s earth on it, the result is cool.

I like weathering…it brings out the details of the pack when done right, the post above mine is a great example…makes the ridges and armor plate looking pieces add more

Spengler that is very nice weathering! I much prefer that to large silver painted on “paintchips”.

Thx!

this seems very pronounced on the photo and very defined but it has natural light is very subtle and natural. With Fuller’s earth gonna be great.

You should take pics in natural light. Nothing is subtle with the flash on. :stuck_out_tongue: Looks great, BTW.

I agree, I use a Qtip dipped in aluminum colored paint and dry brush lightly on the edges that look like they would have rubbing contact with things. Mostly subtle, but makes the intricate details of the pack stand out quite well without being intrusive and distracting.

wanted mine to look battle worn

I’m just letting the naturally occurring dust in the air to take care of that detail.
