Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
I am going to be putting the lights in my particle thrower soon and have a question.
I have looked at a lot of pictures and noticed that in some of them the switches are in the up position and the lights are on, and in some of the pics the switches are in the down postioon and the lights are on. So my question is which way (if it matters) should the switches be. Does up meanon or does down mean on?.
ok can someone please let me know what switches do what on the thrower.
I have a light kit that comes with two working switches and working button and a dummy switch. and the pic I have shows that the top switch is the main on, the lower switch is the dummy, the left switch does the vent light and the button does the firing. Is this right?.
ANy help would be great I don’t want to wire everything up and find out I did it wrong. thanks. Also ion the pic I posted people are saying it is on but the switch is in the up (off) postition isn’t it?.
Universally where switches are concerned, up is on and down is off. Find a switch in your home or work that doesn’t operate this way… you can’t (except 3-way switches).
As far as the thrower goes, in the hero thrower in that pic, the switch on the trigger box (leftmost) is the master power switch, The upper gunbox switch activates the bargraph and other lights, and the lower switch activates the vent lights only. It is all as Cyland said.
As far as being “correct” goes… it really is up to you and the kit that you have. The configuration above is correct for that scene, so if you want to replicate how the gun works in that scene then go for it. Many people choose to just have all the lights come on with the switch on the trigger box (left). It’s up to you.
