hello all ive been bit in the tale by “captianamerica” or aka J Kerezman Costumes. i ordered my patch on the 14th threw this person and its what the 25th? the shipment said 2-3 days. and now we are pushing 11days. i told him i would need it for friday the 25th and well im out of luck. i didnt need the patch for halloween . i needed it for friday. grrr so mad guys sooooo mad. i have spent over 3 months putting my new suit together and i wanted to show you guys cuz i put alot of effort into this one. anyone live in the nyc area that i could maybe drive to you to have it for friday? i know its a long shot but why not ask?
as a last resort, you could reuse your patch on the egon suit
I’m honestly surprised that anyone even tries to deal with Kerezman anymore. Sure, his stuff is great, but is it really worth taking a 50/50 risk of getting totally ripped off?
Anyway, if you’re totally out of options and don’t want to cannibalize the patch off your Egon suit, buy some iron-on transfer paper ($6-$8, last I checked) and some white fabric. Download a good shot of the logo, adjust the size as needed, print it out on the paper, and iron it onto the white fabric. Then sew it on. The colors will be a little bleached, but you can use magic markers to brighten it up.
I made the patches on my suit using this method and figured I would replace them eventually. They look good enough that I never bothered. Hope this helps!
I don’t know if she can get it to you in time, but Kathy (Katarra) on ebay is lightning fast! I got my custom name patch incredibly quick!!
i actually ordered from him without really knowing who he was, and i got the patches today. i ordered them this past sunday. they do look awesome
I don’t mean to be rude or insult anybody here, but J Kerezman has his own thread in the feedback section. Not only that but his name pops up in numerous threads here from members that have gotten frustrated with waiting for him to deliver the products they paid for. While I admit that there were some good transactions, he also has a known history with people now and again to take his sweet time. I know you were probably told 2-3 days but the others who waited an eternity were probably given a similar expectation.
If I personally were ever in a rush for something I wouldn’t order from this guy. Too much inconsistency in his business practice from what I have read here to be able to depend on anything.
I’d help you out but I am in D.C. this week, good luck man.
As would I if I were your same size and lived closer than 2000 miles away. Best of luck to you.
I know you wouldn’t do this for your regular suit but have you thought about printing out a temporary logo from paper? I know it’s quick and cheap but it could possibly get you through in a pinch.
thanks for the feedback guys. still no patch. what are ya gunna do eh? w/e thanks again for the info. i did think about using the patch from the egon suit. but i glued it on like a dummy and i dont think i can pull it off with out ruining the suit. lol hahaha im an idiot. the whole printing think. i dont know guys i mean i know the difference and thats what matters to me. i put to much into the costume this year to have a printed patch. this one deserves the best.
Let us how it goes. I know the feeling must really suck!
I understand you wanting only the best for a suit you’ve put a lot of work into, but I guess the question you must ask yourself is if a second-rate patch is worse than having no patch at all. You can always invest in a decent patch later on. That emblem is a part of our pop culture and having a Ghostbusters suit with no patch would really detract from the costume. Seeing an awesome Ghostbusters costume with no patch would be like looking at an American flag with no stars. People know what it is, but it’s missing one of its defining features.
radar has a good point man.
I am going to post this in the feedback section once the transaction is fully completed but I placed an order with her on Saturday evening to get my name on two patches (as I plan on doing two uniforms) and she e-mailed me today to let me know that she had put them in the mail already. Keep in mind I never told her I needed these for Halloween. I had simply assumed that because of the timing I wouldn’t see these on my uniform until next week or so (given that these are custom made).
BTW, her E-Bay name is Katarra8. Username Katarra on E-Bay has no items currently for sale.
Hey dude, how’d the party go? What did you end up doing? Have you recieved it yet?
ok guys new costume is up check out the thread.. “FRIGHT RGB PETER COSTUME!!!”
Sweet, man.
