Playstation 3 Multiplayer Issue

Ok I love this game. Its perfect in nearly every way and I am awesomely greateful and pleased with the final product, as it truely is a great ghostbusters experience and hopefully there will be more…

…however…

…Has anyone else noticed difficulties in creating/hosting/joining multiplayer matches, specifically with friends or you not being able to join a match due to a FAILED TO JOIN error which happens ALOT.

I have asked Atari about this and have gotten no response yet.

Is anyone else having this issue?

not only you. It has happened to me.

I do have the same problem

It might be due to it’s release week for the game. Everyone and their uncle has probably picked up the game and the servers may not be able to keep up with the number of people trying to set up a game.

Yep, works pretty well now.

chill with this, there’s always issues with servers first weeks of release, gow2 was rubbish for ages, sam sh*t, different day, as they say…

I don’t have problems if I’m the one that create a game and it has to be a quick game, not campaign…

Still happening, but its like others have said, its still the first week of the game being out, everyone is trying to play online and we had a game crash last night and had to be migrated to another server.

Just be patient with it.

I got the same problem I hope it first day problems.

Ok it is STILL happening and quite a lot. I’m still waiting on a reply from Atari.

I have got an email from a Atari

And it says

Thank you for your email, I am sorry to hear of your problem,

unfortunately as we do not hold the license for this title we are unable

to give you support :(. Please contact [email protected] in

regards to your query.

I have just send the message and I will keep you updated

I have a feeling they might issue an update to the Multiplayer service. A lot of games do this.

Sounds good! We dont seem to be having problems out of the private matches anymore, now it seems to be focused more on ranked matches.

i have had this problem with a few ps3 games. two in particular: Call of duty: modern warfare and world at war. i always have the problem joining a friend. its most of the time hit or miss. but that all stopped after i put in the dns codes specifically for psn.

This is not really an issue as just kind of normal. you get the failed to connect when the game tries to connect to a game that has just started or filled before you got connected.

That’s not entirely accurate. Last night ultimageGBfan, Taps family anthony & i were trying to get a game together. UGBfan had no problem joining the match i created & I could join his easily, but Anthony couldn’t join mine and i couldn’t join his. There was no obvious reason why we could not connect to each others’ game, but we both kept getting “failed to connect” errors when trying to join the game lobby. (The game had not been started. We were waiting in the lobby.)

I find it extraordinarily disturbing (Egon moment) that this kind of malfunction is considered “normal” at all. “Normal” should be defined as being able to connect to anyone’s game as intended by the software.

All i can say is I hope there is a patch or fix done soon to take care of this problem because it’s extremely frustrating not to be able to play with friends online.

I’m having problems with the game freezing on multiplayer. :sigh:
