So I got my Alice Frame in the mail today with a mobo and she’ll coming next week.
I’ve been reading lots of build threads and tutorials but haven’t found much information on how low or high the mobo should be on the Alice frame.
Looking at reference photos I can tell that the top of the shell should be the base of the wearers neck. The top of the Alice frame looks to be between shoulders just at the top of the spine.
Are there any measurements on where the drill holes for the frame should be on the mobo.
Were did you get your Mobo? Most of the time (Gbfans, MMM) will have at least 2 holes pre-drilled. Usually the bottom two holes. Just line those up with the bottom of your Frame and use the Mobo to decide where the 3rd should be. I don’t recommend drilling your holes until you have your Mobo in hand.
Ooooh! Damn fine shell! I don’t know if he pre-drills his Mobos or not, though. I would still wait until you had both shell and frame in hand before you drill. I noticed the Rothco frame doesn’t seem to have any holes in the bottom section. You COULD go ahead and drill those holes, I suppose. Just find the center on either side of the middle bar and drill there. Beyond that I’d say check Stefan’s plans for where to drill your Mobo for mounting.
