Any suggestions to make the hose from the back to the gun more limp, or make them less ridged?
Thanks in advance. ![]()

if it’s too rigid, you may be playing with it too much.
Well I don’t know really how to put it but here ya go…
You can pull on it and stretch it,that will help you a little!

Wow…This thread could go south VERY fast if we’re not careful. ![]()
Maybe weaken the inner hose in that section you want? Swiss cheese a chunk of hose to test and see if it becomes less rigid and able to bend more freely.
Yeah I knew getting a straight response was going to be hard for this one, lol. ![]()
I suppose it might be help if I explain the problem a little. I notice that the hose arch out almost a good six inches, just enough to get caught on one thing or another. I notice that others hoses kinda fall to the side
for example:

I based building the hose out of Norm Gagnon’s Pack plans - using a plastic tube in the split loom.
Buy the non-split loom in the GBFans Shop.
Then just put a tube in it if it is too limp.
That is just wrong - now excuse me while I scoop my eyeballs out and dunk them in bleach!
LOL!
In that last picture.. anyone ever notice the bumper on Rays pack is bent up??’
LOL im sorry guys but that has been known for a loooong time.
its because its a bellows, not machined aluminum like the replicas.
ummmm, take the plastic tube out of the split loom?
I have a plastic tube in mine, I like the weight of it actually. Makes it seem more functional. Just the loom by itself is too flimsy and bends funny without something sturdy inside it.. just my opinion..

That’s exactly what I used on my pack. Bellows are very thin and dent or bend quite easily.
Check out ameriflex.net if you want to read up on them. Hey, you never know, you might get lucky and get them to make you a custom one. I tried already, they don’t even reply ![]()
For the hose, you have to remember that the loom on the guns (especially Venkman’s) doesn’t really go in all the way, to the point that the wire inside is exposed. So basically, the hose isn’t even bending, just the wires inside.
