proton pack contest

I wonder if AJ would ever have a yearly proton pack contest. The contest would be to see who has the most screen accurate pack. Including sound and if they are to scale. The winner will be on the home page of GPA. I think it would be cool to compete and to see everyones pack at once.

Responses would be appriciated especially by AJ.

If he is going to do that, he should have this category:

1 - The Best Screen Accurate Proton Pack

2 - The Best Cheaply made but still good looking proton pack.

3 - The Best using Junk found around house or outside looking proton pack.

and 4- Most cartoon series acurate.

5- most original design

I think this would be cool… but I would most definately be all about the different categories! I think the reason I’m so into props is because of the creativity it takes to completely make up something original, that fits into a fictional setting, but that still comes off beleivable as a functioning item. The creativity is what makes this attractive and I love seeing people put their own spin on things!

This would be a really tough contest for anyone to judge…with very few exceptions, I’ve never seen a pack that I didn’t like! Picking the most screen accurate pack would be hard as well. Since most packs are pretty accurate, it would have to come down to one guy losing for using pneumatic tubing that wasn’t Clippard or a neutrona wand with a tip that didn’t extend. Not trying to sound too cynical, but you’d have to really split some hairs to pick a winner in that category. :stuck_out_tongue:
