i just started building my pack, so i looked at some reference pics cause i want the GB1 look
I also found in the FAQ the following
**Q. What are the main differences between the GB and GB2 Proton Packs?
A. Several of the differences include:
-Different color Raytheon Crank Knobs. Gray for Ghostbusters and black for Ghostbusters 2.
-The Ribbon Cable is very different in both movies.
-The particle thrower in Ghostbusters 2 is mounted at more of an angle to make it easier for the actors to draw.
-The Ion Arm is slightly different in both movies.
-The particle throwers tip on the GB1 pack has a mechanism that allows it to extend. **
regarding the pics from Minnesota Planet Hollywood the pack is from the 1st part, but u can see that the blue cable is attached to the ion arm part instead of the ion arm attachment (or Metal Ion Arm Thingy** from AJ***) and the crank knob is also black instead of gray (which is Gb2 style) or am i wrong ?
are there any other differences and pictures of a reference GB1 proton pack ?
m8 i had same problem, i think the props are incorrectly regarded as GB1, they shuld be GB2. theres a lot of difference between the 2 versions, something i never picked up on whilst watching the movies, bt since making my own pack ive noticed, this annoys me wen they change props between films, anyway i went for a mixture of 1 and 2 detail, go to my profile take a look at my pack. i believe the gb1 ribben cable isnt made anymore so i coloured 1 myself. hope this helps
The GB1 packs were re-fitted with GB2 stuff for the hero shots in GB2. There are no GB1 packs known to stil exist (to my knowledge anyway) as they were all converted/used as bucks for Gb2.
The pics of the Minnesota pack are of a GB1 pack that has been re-fitted for GB2 so thats why the listed changes are not there. There arent many reference photos of GB1 packs available as the props wernt on display like the GB2 packs were.
I think you should be thankfull that all this information is compiled and laid out how it is for you… rather than complaining about it…
Saying that the reference section and content on this site are displaying incorrect information. The pack you are referring to was made for GB1 but re-fitted for GB2. So essentially it is stil a GB1 pack.
Thats because the pack’s on display were updated for GB2
