What are the differences between a GB1 and GB2 pack?

Is the only thing different on a GB2 pack the ribbon cable, ion arm setup and color of the crank knob? The bunper has the seam on the GB2 pack, correct?

I am leaning towards making a GB2 pack just because there really isn’t a great option for the GB1 ribbon cable currently.

If I make a GB2 pack and later decide to convert it to GB1, will there be a ton of changes?

You pretty much already mentioned the differences.

The hardware to secure the pack to mobo is different.

The GB2 thrower is suppose to have Nycoil banjo’s as well.

The shock mount has a bolt through it.

Awesome, thank you!

I believe the thrower’s v-hook mount is angled slightly different, as well. I may be mistaken.

GB2 packs also have a battery on the back.

And some of the labels are different. I think the GB1 packs for example have a red label below the injector tubes, while the GB2 packs have a silver one. Also the label on the n-filter is different.

And I think the n-filters on the gb2 packs may not have the screen in the holes which was on the GB1 packs.

Oh the heat sink on the thrower is also different. On the GB2 packs the edges are rounded over.

I think they also replaced the screws on the clippards on the GB1 packs with socket head screws but used the slotted silver screws that come with them on the GB2 packs.

I believe they are still socket head screws

I dont know if this has been mentioned but, I was watching both movies again and I noticed a light difference between the powercell windows between GB1 and GB2

GB1 had more of a wider window and the GB2 packs had a skinner window.

If you look at the courtroom scene with the shot of rays pack. His pack was a retrofitted gb1 pack.

Then if you look at winston and egons pack in the museum scene. The difference is clear.

Anyone else notice this.

New to me ;-)…

Yup.

Well, I guess you’re right. I checked my screencaps from both films. On the pack, they’re socket head screws in both films it appears. But on the thrower in both films they’re the slotted silver screws that come with the clippards.

I think the clippard screws on the thrower are slotted fillister head screws if I remember correctly ?

Correct.

Im Bumping this for a little clarification on sticker placement on A gb2 hero pack . . Did they keep the large danger sticker on the n filter ? The grey danger label. . Or just the red diagram from what I can tell packs the retrofited GB1 heros had it but the new semi heros didnt . . ? CORRECT?
