Do you have any christmas wrapping paper? A way to make the gun would be to take one of those carboard tubes, cut it in half, then tape them together side by side like so:
…=|||======
=====|||=
Then stick a small cardboard box over the place you taped them together.
I’m tellin’ ya to use whatever junk you have laying around!
The stuff you have to pay for will be whatever you can’t find that you need. Most likely that will be black paint, and maybe tape, and maybe a cake pan.
Just start collecting junk. Bring the photo of the pack with you when you do it. Look at each part and see if there’s anything that you can use that’s similar to that part.
Only once you collect all the junk you can find for the various parts of the pack will you know what you’re missing. It’s impossible to plan it all out ahead of time doing it this way.
You can color stuff black with a marker too if you have one of those. Just don’t use the permanent ones. They stink.
Ugh no >.< I just want it cheap and as in cheap, for example, building stuff around my old backpack. I want a homemade. I was just saying that the two honors classes are gonna bring be down on week days PLUS marching band on friday and saturday games so I’ll probably only have sunday to do this stuff. Brad’s idea I can totally do.
Well just bc he built it by doing that doesn’t me that I am going to understand it. Our brains all work differently. I truly just want something easy cheap and not time consuming. Like I said I would like to build a good one around the backpack.
Edit:
Also I told you that I’m just gonna start out easy and cheap and as i get older make it more realalistic.
I see where you’re going. Find a cardboard box that’s the general shape of the pack—rectangular. Cut 4 slots in it to send the back pack straps through. The back pack will be inside of the box, and the straps will come out, through the slots.
then paint it black, attach whatever else you want(smaller boxes, stickers, labels), and just use a simple vacuum hose or something. put it thru a hole in the box.
95, it can be done. All you’ll have to do is cut out slits through the motherboard to feed your straps through and glue them in place.
Garee’s thread is pretty straightforward and he lists a lot of the materials needed. A couple electrical boxes (from Lowes or Home Depot, shouldn’t run you more than $5 a box iirc), some tubes, a cake pan.
