Hello!

I’m finally ready to publicly release my Proton Pack Sound Board!

(This is my CURRENT version of the kit, they now ALL include mounting holes.)

Because I love you guys, I am offering not only the sound chip, but also a breakout board that makes the whole thing not only smaller, but more secure, for a lower price than other people sell just the chip.

This board is compatible with Matt Burkit’s DIY sound tutorial found here: Sound Board DIY (GBFans Chip, Replica Props, Crix, etc) - Tutorials & Guides - GBFans.com

Basically, my kit replaces the breadboard with a much sturdier set of screw terminals and a much smaller footprint.

I recorded a video of the board in action, check it out! (Video needs to be updated to reflect the new sound layout, but the audio quality and files are the same.)

The sounds that are included are:

Sound 1: Pack startup followed by hum

Sound 2: Pack startup no hum (fades out)

Sound 3: Stream fire

Sound 4: Stream wind down followed by hum

Sound 5: Stream wind down no hum

Sound 6: Pack shut down

Sound 7: Pack vent

Sound 8: Pack ‘unvent’, startup followed by hum

Sound 9: Pack ‘unvent’, startup with no hum (fades out)

Sound 10: Ghostbusters Theme

For a custom sound setup, PM me with details on what you’d like. I charge a $5 fee for modifying the sound layout.

I hope that my current layout will cover everyone’s needs, since with a few changes of a few wires, you can add or remove the hum effect to your pack completely. I will likely offer some more variations in sounds in the future at the normal price point, but at this time, anything deviating from what is above will be considered custom.

This sound kit look great! Way better than the bread board! Do you think I would have any problems hooking it up with R2Devo’s V7 light kit?

As long as you use the switches and buttons (or equivalent replacements) detailed in Matt’s tutorial, my sound board will have no issues integrating with ANY light kits. :smiley:

Would work just like any other sound kit. You just need to connect the sound side of each switch to the applicable terminals.

I’ve got v7 kit I’ll be hooking these up to.
