Hey Everyone,

I’m getting started back on my pack, and am almost finished.

I have Exoray’s Light kit (Wand and Pack), and was wondering what is the best sound kit that is available now. I would have gone with Exorays sound kit, but he stopped making them before could purchase one.

Is there a good sound kit out there that will work with Exoray’s light kit? I hope it’s not too difficult to make it work together.

I would go with Crix’s.100%. best damned sound module i’ve seen.

yeah i have the exoray light kits with the crix sound kit and the battery eliminator and distortion fix chip and it sounds great. thats the way to go.

Hey Mike, does the battery eliminator and distortion fix chip come with the crix sound board?

Or is that through someone else?

Its a seperate board but still from crix.

The battery eliminator and distortion fix board is not from Crix.. Those are supplied by spongeface.

Both do amazing work and are highly recommended.

I have done the exoray lights to both crix sound and a replicaprops setup. The final product is amazing and totally worth it but just so you know what to be ready for… There will be a bit of rewiring involved to get exoray’s lights to work with crix’s sound. Check out mburkit’s thread in the tutorials section for a list of other parts you will need as well as wiring diagrams and a walkthrough for handling the task your planning to attempt.

Well the actual chip you use doesn’t matter.

It’s definitely makes things easier if you use crix’s breakout board over having to set up a breadboard.

Crix’s breakout board works with both sound chips though, so it really depends on the options you want. If you just want the standard sounds I would go with a whole crix kit.

If you want custom sounds I would buy the crix breakout board and then a chip loaded with your custom sounds from replica props.
