Exoray has been on hiatus for a long time and I doubt he’ll be back anytime soon. I had his light kits in a few of my old packs, and his sound kit in the first one I made. While his sound kit was super easy to install and customize (the thing ran off of a micro-SD card… fantastically simple to edit sound effects) it DID have a delay in when a sound played from when you pressed the button. It wasn’t terrible, but it was there. His second revision to the design was supposed to fix that, but…
Anyway, there aren’t many “plug and play” sound options that I’m aware of. Of the current options, I do have to recommend Crix’s sound board. Be warned, you will have to know how to solder and be comfortable swapping out some switches, but the end result is very much worth it.
The only soldering required will be on the switches if you use his breakout board. Its pretty simple to install everything though, sometimes it just takes a little trial and error.

so I would really only need to replace the pack light toggle switch and trigger button with dpdt versions for the basic pack on/off and fire/powerdown sounds ?
I’m using Crix’s sound board with Exoray’s pack and gun light kits. Only modification was changing the one toggle and the push button switch out to dpdt ones for the start up, shutdown, fire and stop fire sounds. The vent and theme sounds I ran out to separate switches mounted on a piece of angle aluminum attached to the motherboard. Any questions just ask.
