I store mine out in the garage. I have it on the ground about where the car’s front bumper should stop. When I’m pulling into the garage and I feel the pack impacting the front bumper, I know I’ve pulled in far enough.
LOL!! I love having our stuff on the wall. We’re considering re arranging funriture to make more room, so I can have a shelf below the packs for 12" figs, the megabloks playset, and my old firehouse, as well as our traps n goggles.
I need to see if there are any studs that will support the pack weight, and then looks into rearranging.
This was a backburner concern of mine about after the build. Okay… have Proton Pack, check. Now what do I do w/ it when not wearing it?
I think I’m going to build a display case to hang on the wall. Find some cheap excess polycarbonate on ebay to make a door out of, and some wire LEDs from WalMart to light the display up with. Just not sure yet on the design, want it to be more than just a wooden box frame something that says Ghostbusters.
This might be something you might want to do also. Put a “IN CASE OF CLASS V FULL ROAMING VAPOR BREAK GLASS” sticker on the front maybe. It’ll be a great way for displaying your hard work while doing so in a way that’s more decorative (to appease the other half).
A case for the pack on the wall will be huge. Thats why I opted for a mount bar with hooks.
I’ve looked at some guitar stands and I’m not seeing how they could be used to display a proton pack. Could someone post pics?
Like this:
Why not try and find a wall locker like what was used in the movies? i don;t think they kept the packs in them, but if you get a wide one you certainly could.
i made mine out of some old medical supply thing. ive got fingerprints all over the plexiglass in the pic, but after a nice windex job it looked really good.
i wanted to make something from the movie to put my pack in, so i bought a tub and painted it to look like a ghost trap.
