How do you display your pack when you are not using it?

The pack, uniform and “accessories” are just too awesome to let sit in the closet or up in the attic, so I was wondering what you do with them to show them off when you are not wearing them?

Here are some possibilities:

  1. Guitar Stand to keep the pack off the ground

  2. A table or case to display them like at Hard Rock Cafes

  3. A mannequin or some human like form to put the uniform on and the pack

I only have a guitar stand I bought from Guitar center and modified the wire base to hold the pack frame more directly:

I want some ideas to better display this and also incorporate the uniform, belt and other accessories!

I plan to display mine on my office wall along with the Matty PKE and Ghost Trap.

I bought an old glass stereo case for one of mine but i plan on upgrading it to a wall mount.

I keep mine in the closet just because it fits in there nicely.

As a joke I call it my “Forbidden Closet of Mystery” (simpsons reference) any who it’s where I keep all my nerdly possessions

I hang mine on the wall so its out of the way of getting damaged.

No picture since my pack is currently on a work bench disassembled, but I keep mine propped up on the floor with a guitar stand.

Anyone use a mannequin? (if so, please post a picture!)

Too many great Sci-Fi and Horror shows have mannequins coming to life - I am not sure I could bring one into the house and still sleep at night…

my friend once suggested rigging up some PVC pipes to construct a make shift dummy for your flight suit. I might try that eventually. but im with you on the creepiness of the mannequin, i can’t even keep a coat tree in my room without waking up in the middle of the night thinking its a burglar or whatnot.

Mine is all apart too, getting ready to build a new spacer assembly, reworked electronics and other goodies =)

sitting in my parents garage, before that, sitting in my parents attic, then sitting in my parents computer room, flat on the floor…not displayed!

Wall mount, I just used some 2x4s and a couple heavy dusty looking coat hooks. The boards were stacked out from the wall 3 thick so the gun can be angled and not hit anything. Just make sure you use long enough screws to anchor the boards to each other securely, and to base of the boards should be in to the studs not just drywall. You don’t want your hard work crashing on the floor.

For the moment, mine sits on the right side of my messy workstudio desk, along with trap, goggles, and random knick-knacks.
