Cool man!!! I think that in the wall is the safest place to leave your proton pack!!!
When you hang it on the wall, its protected from pets, kids.. and even the curious girlfriend!!!
A guitar stand works find also, but i´ll go with the wall option!

does it work on crappy drywall, thats-oh-so weak too. I just have this image of putting it up. standing back. smiling, in a hands-on-my-hips-proud-sort-of-way, and then suddenly it ripping off my wall, crashing to the ground, breaking into pieces, holes in the wall…and me crying bloody murder 
i went with the guitar stand method. It’s beautifully placed next to the drumset in the study. My girl says i should build a display case for it - how’s that for some ghostbuster support! hey - anyone ever go with their girl as janine?

No , seriously , the guitar stands are great.. my only concern is that they are on the ground and somebody could trip over it or something, but it could fall of the wall also!!! :lol:
lol, frankfish01 that was hilarious. Sound like something that would def. happen to me. I had a similiar moment when I mounted my gun to the pack and as I was walking around with that proud face you mentioned, it ripped off with the most horrendous sound. Luckily, I have since reinforced it and I am a little more cautious before I begin exude that confident smirk…

yeah i had a really cheap gun hook (it looked like two m’s out of metal that linked together), and it totally failed me at a party as i bent down to grab something on the floor. Down went the thrower and time stopped. Thats when i realized if i ride on a motorcycle with this thing on halloween, id be screwed. dixie hooks were the solution.
