"World of the Psychic" Theme Song

Does anyone happen to know what the song was at the intro and outro of “Peter’s” TV show “World of the Psychic” n Ghostbusters 2? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, that would be kind of cool to know. I dont know what it is, but my guess is it was just a little diddy someone came up with during production.

Yeah. Wonder if they wrote it or if it was just found in some generic music library? Quick! Someone dig through every background music song ever! I’ve always liked that tune. Sounds like a quirky little psychic talk show theme.

I don’t even remember music.

If there was some.. it was probably composed by Randy Edelman.

Yeah now that you mention it, probably as I don’t recall any thing else being credited in the credits. I think it’s a lot of clarinet and some bouncy strings and winds in there. I think when I was younger, I never used to understand Venkman’s “sign off” until I got a little smarter when I was older and was like “oh yeah, it’s a psychic show”

It does sound a little bit like the playful Oscar theme in the movie, I think. Not so much but just the style of it sounds like it could be Edelman!

Just that little percussion ensemble played while the lights began fading on.. you were Venkman mumble something to Milton Angland.

I’m assuming it might be on the fanmade GB2 Score that was on Ecto-Web some years back.

Saddly no it’s not on the bootleg copy… Maybe in production music CDs as Zack said. I found the “Harey Birdman: AAL” theme with no words and Meatwads’s boombox music from the “Carl Wash” episode.

If anyone does a lot of public access stuff or works at a TV station and has a lot of down time, listen to the production CDs.

It sounds like old educational film music from the '50’s.

I took the liberty of uploading the file for download. Enjoy

That’s completely awesome that you found that, can I ask how in the world you knew that?

Lol awesome

I didn’t even think to use Shazam, but it worked! I’m shocked… my money was on Edelman. Thanks for posting!

Excellent work, btnkdrms and Dr. Stantz Jr.

I was unaware of the existence of programs such as Shazam until this thread, so I’m glad I necroposted when I did!

That copy of the song has some artifacts, probably just old needle-on-vinyl static pops, I wonder if we can track down a cleaner version or if that’s the best there is.

You can buy just the song for $0.99, but by listening to just the sample it sounds like there are light static pops in that one as well.

Yep, sounds like the same track.

The pops almost sound like scissors snipping the entire time.
