Kind of a weird sale post but bare with me!
So last summer (before the reboot came out) I met a super nice guy that built his own version of the reboot Ecto. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it to contact me first as I would definitely be interested in buying it!
Fast forward to last week when he contacts me and says he’s finally decided to part ways with it and wanted to allow me the opportunity to buy first. HOORAY, right? Only one small issue. In the year since I met him my wife and I had our second child and I don’t necessarily have the funds lying around to buy an Ecto-1, haha.
He’s not a member of GBfans, however I told him I’d reach out to the GBfans community since I was and see if there was any interest.
That being said, here’s some info he gave me about the Ecto as well as some pics from when I joined him at a premiere for the Reboot last summer.

It’s an 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Hearse.

Approximately 68k miles on it.

The majority of the roof rack parts were salvaged from a combine salvage yard. (He does realize the roof rack and parts are not all screen accurate).
-The GB logo and stripes are vinyl

The yellows light in front is a Grote vehicle beacon light.

Back light bar is also a yellow Grote light bar
-Interior is in fair condition for an 83. (He’s going to send me more pics of the inside)

Exterior is also in fair condition. Normal knicks, dings and scrapes for a car this old.

Mechanically, he said the car runs and drives great. Only issue is that the AC does not get cold.
He’s looking to get $8,000 for it but said he’d entertain all offers if anyone is seriously interested. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will relay them to him to get answers.
